WRITEON FOR DEC 4

I heard of a guy who was convinced that TACO BELL was the Mexican Phone Company! See how things can get very confused if we’re not careful?
Hope you had a great T-Day. Egg Bowl was a good rival scrap…until the end when that young man acted so disrespectfully! Yes, he got a poor sportsman penalty, moving his kicker back even further…perhaps that’s why he missed? Anyway, is there nothing going that doesn’t have this touch of cheating or foul acting out?
And your point is?
There is a tenderness missing in our interactions with each other…whether it is sports or politics, working together on a project or within some homes. Lots of shouting and screaming, scaring the hearts of small children. Seems like folks are afraid and their adult fears are transferred over to the children. This coarseness is in the classroom and the Church hall. We have to be careful. Rather than finding ways to complain or distract others, how can we help bring that tenderness back? We never need to put someone else down so we can be elevated…actually it never works anyway.
In some of our traditions Advent began last Sunday…a waiting period, a time of cleansing and coming about. A time to review just how our lives are going and with whom they are going. In the darkness of winter we look for the light, not just for ourselves, no, but light for others that their lives might be filled with hope.
Don’t forget the open house @ the Library on Dec 12 2:30-6pm. Bring the kids, come and see all the trees, and I’ve heard Santa might make a visit!
BLESSINGS.
