Friday's story at the Maben Public Library was "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie."
It was a Thanksgiving pie. She swallowed several different things: cider because the pie was too dry, a roll, squash, a salad, turkey, a pot, a 10-layer cake and some bread. Finally she was full and said, “Happy Thanksgiving!”
This is a great book for children to learn words because it has many that are repeated. It also helps with memorization repeating the things the old lady ate.
We painted place mats for our next week’s activities and played with Play-Doh. We had a snack provided by the parents.
Friday in attendance we had Tripp and Welles Fouche, Mamie Norman, John Wyatt and Ansley Parker, Kinsley and Jace Dodd, Grae Sanford Kaylyn Davis and Trae Tenhet.
