The local Alcorn State University Alumni Chapter held its annual banquet on January 26, 2019 at Lake Tiak O’Khata.
Coach M. C. Miller was the guest speaker, and he truly entertained and captivated the audience. Lawrence Estes and Earlene Crowder were presented plaques for their dedicated service, and the Alumni Chapter was presented a plaque for its continued support of the University. President Pearlean McReynolds accepted the plaque.
The chapter awarded seven scholarships to Winston County students attending Alcorn State University: Jordan Lampley, Aveian Hardin, Darius Smith, Corey McCullough, Zoria Nicholson, Chris Blair, and Tyler Kincaid. Door prizes were given.
With the support of the community, the chapter continues to grow each year. The chapter sincerely thanks the public for its continued support.
