By Sis. Linda Dempsey Highways & Hedges Worship Center Greetings in the name of our Lord. I want to share with you what the Lord gave me for Sunday morning. We see and feel so much turmoil going on now and there is a shift in the spirit realm that is becoming apparent in the physical realm. Some of you don’t even understand about the spiritual realm. You think everything just happens but I want you to know that there’s something spiritual behind everything, good or evil. The Lord was showing me that rebellion has crept in the church body and changing people’s love that they have for one another into distrust. Galatians 5:20 names a few of the works of the flesh — hatred, variance (variance is strife or discord), emulations means jealously, strife is selfish ambition, seditions means dissensions, heresies are permanent, organized divisions or cliques. Matthew 24:12 says, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” We see that happening in the churches today. When we walk in the flesh we are not walking in the spirit and it becomes easier and easier to find fault with one another. The message is this, from Luke 14:34, 35: “Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savor (or flavor), wherewith shall it be seasoned? “It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Which means our flavor is the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. If we are not walking in that, we can’t be a seasoning in anyone’s life. I don’t know about you, but I want to be a blessing in other people’s lives. I want to be that seasoning that someone needs when they are down and don’t know how to keep going. I’m a living testimony that God can and will lift you up when you’re down. He will make a way for you. He is a great big God. Amen!
