Friends of the Choctaw County Library will be holding a general meeting on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. Members and those interested in supporting the Library are cordially invited.
An exciting program featuring several local authors will be held. Among the authors presenting will be Roy Hawkins, writer of Horizon East. Also sharing will be Anthony Magyar, author of Dare Ya; Margie Gilmore, Early Families of French Camp, MS; Dr. Wayne McLeod, A Layman’s Commentary of both Old and New Testaments; Sister Ailes, Home Sweet Home and Bill Taylor, How to Prepare a Sermon. Audience will be able to ask questions concerning the writing process and various aspects of each book.
Friends of the Library will also provide important news about materials and equipment they have purchased for the Library. Members are encouraged to attend in order to help generate new ideas and learn ways they can assist the group.
Light refreshments will be served and door prizes, including some of the authors’ books, will be given away.
