Hope all is well with everyone. We had a blessed week. It was great to be in the house of the Lord Sunday. Brother Mason did an excellent job as usual teaching Sunday morning about growing spiritually by faith.
We also had a wonderful worship service, and Brother Brown blessed us with an amazing special that just seemed to top off our service by ushering in the wonderful presence of the Lord.
Our sermon came from Acts 9: 1-9. Let me remind you church that God is on our side even when the enemy comes in like a flood. The Lord will raise up a standard against him.
Saul, who breathing out threatenings and slaughters, with papers from the high priest was ready to kill and persecute the Christians.
In other words he was a terrorist against the Christian faith. God blinded him with his presence, a light so bright it blinded him and knocked him off his beast in the daylight.
The Lord confronted Saul and said to him, “Why do you persecute me? … I am Jesus.”
So, in other words, if the enemy is coming after you he is going to encounter Jesus, because Jesus has our back. Saul had only persecuted the Christians not Jesus. But Jesus came to fight for his children, defend them and protect them. My friend, he will never leave you nor forsake you. He will be with us always until the end.
Sermon in short: God stopped the attack for our sake. Then the God of glory changed the very one who came against them. This battle is not yours; it’s the Lord’s and your situation is not as bad as it seems.
Just remember, God’s got your back and will stop the attack if you have a personal relationship with Jesus. Guess what — you’re his, and he is our shield, our buckler, our salvation and our defense.
Until next week God bless. P.S. remember prayer changes things.
