(Feb. 11) Well last week was a rough week, but I sure was glad to be at church Sunday with all the faithful members.
I want to thank all of my members for checking on me last week; it’s good to know you’re missed. It was hard still to preach with not much of a voice.
So I taught up front close to the pews on Solomon’s temple. The magnificent temple of God! So glad that we no longer need the blood of animals for sacrifice for sins. Thank God for sending Jesus, who paid the price, the shed blood of Christ, the perfect sacrifice for sin.
Just believe, repent, turn from our wicked ways and receive. And he is faithful and just to forgive us from our sin. Thank you Jesus!
Please continue to remember T.J. Avent and family. Also pray for Mrs. Brenda Mason, who is also under the weather, and remember in prayer Mrs. Linda Stafford — special request. God bless you all and have a blessed week.

(Feb. 18) We'll I'm feeling some better, however sick fighting a very bad upper respiratory infection. Went to doctor again Friday and got some more meds. They most have been working some. I was able to preach a little bit, with a little bit better voice than last week.
It was again a joy to be in the house of God with our faithful members. I preached from the book of Ruth, which we all know is a love story. It also, however, is a powerful story of God's divine purpose, presence and provision for our lives. God will make a way for those who trust in him.
We also enjoyed a great Sunday school lesson taught by brother James. It was titled “Jesus Heals the Sick,” coming from the gospels. Jesus still heals, just trust and obey.
Have a wonderful week. We want to invite anyone looking for a home church or just a chance to connect with old friends and this loving family. We would like you all to come join in worship with us next Sunday as we lift up Jesus and magnify his name.
Please keep T.J. Avent, his wife, daughter and family in your prayers as they care for him. Also remember Eva Mae Poe, who has been sick this past week.
