Hello everyone; Pastor Michael again. Hope you all have had a great week.
My friends, Jesus is coming soon. Maybe morning, night or noon. I preached from Matthew 24: We must be watchmen. If we knew what hour our house would be broken into, we would not suffer that loss. For we would be ready. As our Lord points out from Matthew 25 in the parable of the 10 virgins, five were wise and five were foolish.
We must be ready to meet the bridegroom at the midnight hour. Just as in the parable, five trimmed their lamps and saved their oil. Five were foolish, wasting their oil and time.
We must be mindful, watchful too, be found working and watching. For our Lord cometh in an hour not known. But seasons we know and the times we know. It’s not a secret the bridegroom is coming, and when he calls we must be ready.
2 Peter 2:4-7 declares, “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.
“And spared not the old world, but saved only Noah and eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing the floodwaters upon the ungodly.
“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that should live ungodly.
“And delivered just Lot.” But his wife looked back and became a pillar of salt because of disobedience to God.
Church, it is time to get right, be ready and be working or we will be left. Jesus is coming soon.
God bless you all. Be ready, trim your lamps, prepare your souls and walk in obedience. Jesus is coming in the twinkling of an eye, as a thief in the night, as fast as lightning goes from the east to the west. So the Lord comes quickly to gather his people, to keep them from the judgment. Like Noah or Lot.
