Well good morning everyone. So someone evidently prayed a little too hard for rain, because we sure got it.
Temperatures were very tolerable this week. Sure made my work week much more enjoyable, with all the outside work we do for MDOT.
Brother Mason taught a great lesson on the validity of Christ. We had a wonderful choir service ushering in the presence of God. Just as the word of God declares in the book of Psalms: “Enter into gates with thanksgiving, and into courts with praise be thankful unto him, and bless his holy name.” We do this in obedience to God’s word.
Our message today comes from Matthew 8:23-27. Jesus is trying to teach his disciples to have faith and not to fear for God is with us.
My friends, my brothers and sisters, no matter the storm of life God is in control. He says in his word, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” — that we are overcomers.
Most of all, the Lord has said 365 times, “Do not be afraid.” ... Jesus speaks peace in the storm, that even the winds and seas obey his commands.
So my friends, be strong and courageous and do not be afraid for the Lord our God goes with us each and every day. He will never forsake you; don’t be afraid.
Remember to pray for the families of America and for all who are hurting. We are to be God’s hands reaching. God bless you all and have a great week.
