Fame Church of God
Hope everyone had a blessed holiday.
My family and I did. We took a small vacation to a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We had a wonderful time together playing games at the cabin, ice skating, as well as snow sledding. It was just a ball.
Here at Fame this Sunday was a blessing to be back in service in the house of God again. We truly missed being with everyone. So needless to say it truly was a great Sunday just to be back in service. We had a wonderful Sunday School by Brother Mason, a great time in worship. Also it was such a blessing to have the Morris family with us this Sunday as well.
I preached an amazing message from the Lord on how we need to make a New Year’s resolution of growing closer to God through an offering of prayer. Then he will receive all of our offerings as long as they are obedient and pure of heart.
Like from the scriptures Genesis 4:3-4. Just like Cain and Abel. Abel’s offering was right and in good spirit. Cain’s was rejected. So we must offer an offering to God that is first out of obedience, love and cheerfulness. God loves a cheerful giver.
The scripture says that we are to present our bodies as a holy living sacrifice unto the Lord. So strive for perfection. This is obedience to God. And just as Samuel pointed out to Saul in 1 Samuel, that obedience is better than sacrifice.
Church, we must strive to be holy for he is holy, and righteous for he is righteous.
God bless you all. Have a blessed week, and Happy New Year!
