Good morning everyone. I trust you had a blessed week and hope all is well with everyone.
This Sunday morning was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. It was nice and cool, just a beautiful day a beautiful day to celebrate God‘s creation.
I want to take a few moments today to tell you that I know we’re in troubling times, and it’s not a secret that we are truly living in the last days. God is still in control. God is not shocked. God is not surprised and He holds the whole world in His hands.
I want to remind you today from the Scriptures that there was a woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years. She had tried everything. She had lost everything that she had. She was constantly getting worse. She would have eventually died, but she had faith, great faith, that when she heard that Jesus was coming by she pressed through the crowd.
Even with her sick state, she pressed through the crowd. Even though it was against Old Testament law for her to go there, she pressed through the crowd. Even though it was religiously wrong to approach the priests, she pressed through anyway.
She made her way to Jesus. She said within herself, “If I could just but touch the hem of his garment I would be made whole” — the dirty, very bottom of the garment THAT touched the cobblestone streets of Jerusalem.
Though there was dust and dirt, she didn’t care. She knew if she could just touch the hem she would be made whole. The Bible says that when she touched the hem of his garment, immediately she was made whole.
My friends, today, I want you to understand that God wants to touch all of our lives, so by faith we must reach out and touch him. You may be struggling with something today. There may be storms, there may be trials, there may be troubles, but what I can tell you today is that Jesus speaks peace to these storms.
Our God is an awesome God; our God is a loving. Just one touch from the Master is all we need. Just one touch and all will be well. Pray, church pray. Many are hurting and suffering today, some physically, some spiritually, some mentally. God’s word says when we are weak he is strong, so we look to the hills from whence cometh our help. Our help cometh from the Lord.
God bless you all and have a wonderful week. Trust the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways trust the Lord and he will direct your path.
P.S. Please remember to pray for all those who are struggling today and also remember Ms. Clemmie Whitaker in your prayers for a full and speedy recovery from a recent fall.
