Good morning. Hope all is well with everyone! We had a wonderful Sunday although we truly missed those who were under the weather this week.
We had a great Sunday school class. Had a wonderful worship service. Then a blessed message from the Lord. We must put on the whole armor of God my fellow brethren. We look to the book of Ephesians 6, starting with verse 10: “Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Church, it is not if but when the enemy will attack, and just like the battles between the cowboys and Indians, the Indians would shoot fiery arrows at the cowboys’ wagons and tents as a distraction. For the Indians knew that the cowboys could fight, and fight the fire.
The devil is also waiting and watching, looking for the best way to get to you. The word of God says he is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. So we must be alert.
Church, we must be ready. We must put on the whole armor of God. For the devil will try anything. Even a distraction like a fiery dart or arrow.
So again Ephesians says we will win if we are obedient to God’s word. First be strong in the Lord and the power of his might. Then put on the whole armor of God. So no matter the storm, situation, attacks, temptation, God is our salvation, our deliverer and our defense, and if we will be obedient unto the Lord, we will win every time
Remember, we are fighting not flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. So the situation is never what it seems. Just remember to be ready with your armor and prayed up! God is our refuge and our defense, our deliverer. Trust him and he will direct your path.
Until next week God bless. As the Lord says, be strong and courageous and do not be afraid, for the Lord goes with us each and every day. He will never forsake us; do not be afraid.
P.S. Please remember to keep T.J. Avant and family and the Whitaker family in your prayers. God bless. Pastor Michael Haas.
