The Maben Home and Garden Club is happy to announce that the yard of Teresa Hendrix won the Yard of the Month for August.
The sign was placed by club member Pat Harpole. Each month the club assigns a member to view the yards in the Maben area and judge them on “Curb Appeal.”
This month Ms. Harpole judged Ms. Hendrix’s yard, viewing lots and lots of summer plants: caladiums, lantanas, elephant’s ears; all enclosed in a two-layer stone border. Out in front of the house are two bird feeder/birdhouse combos, some benches and swings, and several large frog statues. A weeping willow resides in the lower left front yard and a tropical tree (possibly a banana tree) resides out back at the end of the house. Overall, the yard has a pleasing curb appeal.
The Maben Home and Garden Club wishes to extend “Congratulations” to Ms. Teresa Hendrix for winning the Yard of the Month.
