Play Day at the library! On Feb. 7, children came to Webster County Public Library dressed in pajamas ready to play.
They played with blocks and puzzles before going to the meeting room. Some of the children brought their own toys to share and Ms. Pat shared toys from the library. Everyone gathered on the floor for a good time.
After playtime the children decorated bags for this week’s Valentine Party. Storytime is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
February is Library Lovers Month. Libraries are more than the place for book lovers. Webster County Public Library is your one-stop place for many services.
There is a great assortment of new books to check out, used books for sale, and some books and magazines to give away. One way to save money is to visit the local library.
Other services are available at the library. These are computer use, faxing, copying and scanning. Income tax forms are also available at the library.
Pre-K children in the area participate in storytime every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. as well as Pre-K and school-age children attend the summer reading program in June.
All one needs to check out books is a free library card. Library hours are Monday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Library Lovers Month
Libraries are among the most effective of all public services.
Serving more than two-thirds of the population, libraries receive less than 2 percent of all tax dollars.
