Mark DiBiase, district governor for Rotary District 6820, made the annual governor’s visit at the Eupora Rotary Club during its weekly program on Aug. 23.
DiBiase, who took office July 1, encouraged participation in service projects. He and his wife both participate in the district’s international service trips to Guadalajara, Mexico.
“Anytime you have a service project, I encourage you to participate,” he said. “It changes your heart and sets an example to others.”
DiBiase also encouraged the local Rotarians to invite community leaders to meetings as prospective members to help transform the community.
Additionally, he promoted the Rotary Foundation and the Paul Harris Society. The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions.
“It’s the most effective way to give money back to your community (and central Mississippi),” he said.
The Paul Harris Society recognizes donors from around the world who notify the foundation of their intention to contribute $1,000 or more every year to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund or approved global grants.
In 2002, DiBiase became president and owner of Infinite Concepts, a computer network and administration firm located in Greenville. He was honored as a “Top in Tech” recipient by the Mississippi Business Journal in 2019, as it grew to one of the 50 largest IT companies in the state. He sold his business in December and is now retired.
DiBiase has been a Rotarian for 16 years, is a past president of the Greenville Rotary Club and has served as assistant governor. He resides outside Leland with his wife, Rhonda, who is also a Rotarian.
