The 4-H Science Club met Sept. 6 at the Webster County Extension Office.
The 4-H’ers learned about atoms (electrons, protons, neutrons, and the nucleus) and about chemical reactions.
Their experiment was called “Elephant Toothpaste,” which was created by dumping potassium iodide crystals into a container consisting of food coloring, dish detergent, hydrogen peroxide and phosphoric acid.
Again, if anyone would be interested in joining Webster County 4-H, these clubs are active but not limited to: Science Club, Expressive Arts, Robotics, LEGO, Livestock and Poultry. The office number is 662-258-3971 for more information.
