Despite the cold weather, the Webster County Library was warmed with energetic Pre-K children Jan. 16.
After their usual time of visiting and playing, Ms. Anita escorted them to the meeting room for songs, a story and craft. They sang “There’s a Little Snowflake on my Nose,” “5 Little Snowmen,” “ Let’s All Do a Little Clapping” and “Chubby Little Snowman.”
The story read to the children was “The Not-So-Perfect Penguin.” In this book, all the penguins are smart and sensible. All except Percy, who is, well, not so perfect. But when Percy leaves, things aren’t the same without him. The penguins soon realize there’s more to life than being perfect.
The children decorated penguin cutouts with cotton balls and wiggly eyes. Storytime is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
