The Eupora Rotary Club recognized senior Makyrus Potts as Rotary Student of the Month from Eupora High School at its April 2 luncheon.
He was introduced by Teacher of the Month Stephen Edwards.
At EHS, Makyrus is a member of the Interact Club, Biology Club, FCA and Student Council. His honors include Merit Student (three years), sixth place in DECA competition, third place in long jump (twice) and third place in powerlifting meet.
Makyrus has worked blood drives at the school and picked up lunch for the bloodmobile workers. He is a member of Mill Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Weir, where he serves as an usher.
Makyrus plans to attend Mississippi State University.
