Tamia Marie Brewer
Tamia is the daughter of Marcie and Van Tate of Macon. She is an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and attends the youth group at Cornerstone Community Church on Wednesday.
Tamia will be attending East Central Community College in the fall and will major in physical therapy. She received a 2-year Leadership Scholarship from Hesston College in Kansas. Due to her health issues, she will not be playing basketball her freshman year.
Before attending Grace, Tamia attend Noxubee County School where she played varsity fastpitch softball her seventh, eighth, and ninth grade years and received a backcatcher award. She also basketball her seventh, eighth, ninth grade years and received several awards. She has attended Grace Christian School for only three years. She has been involved in Grace’s sports program. She was the boys’ basketball manager for one year, played volleyball for one year, and played basketball for two years in which she served as team captain. Tamia also received the basketball offensive award both years.
Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:34; “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Zachary Hull Boyles
Zach is the son of Mrs. Debbie Boyles and Dr. Jon Boyles. Zach will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall to major in mechanical engineering.
Zach has attended Grace Christian School since he was in K-3. He is valedictorian for the Class of 2019 and is graduating with honors. During his time at Grace, Zach participated in Beta Club throughout high school, and was an active member of the Student Council from his seventh grade year all the way up to his senior year where he served as the Student Body President. He also played on the Basketball team for seven years.
Zach's senior awards included 12th grade Geography, 12th grade MS Studies, 12th grade Physics, Spanish I, Calculus II and Excellence in Musical Theater, and Academic Honors. He is also the Star Student for the Class of 2019.
Among Zach's various awards for academics and athletics over his years at grace, he is a recipient of the Engineering Excellence scholarship, the Freshman Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Valedictorian scholarship, the ST AR Student Scholarship, the Student Body President scholarship, the Colvard Future Leader Scholarship, and the study abroad scholarship at Mississippi State University. He is also a recipient of the Mississippi Eminent Scholarship Grant.
Zach enjoys athletics, academics, and practically anything that involves spending time with the friends he has made during his time here, whether that means debating pointless topics with, begrudgingly driving his younger friends around, or 3 a.m. trips to McDonalds. His favorite memory of high school was watching the students around him enjoy the events he had planned as Student Body President.
Zach particularly likes I Thessalonians 4: 11-12 which says, "and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."
Ashlea Howell
Ashlea is the daughter of Mandy and Brandon Howell of Louisville. She attends East Louisville
Baptist Church and is a member of the First Presbyterian Youth. Ashlea will attend East Central Community College in August and will major in dental hygiene. She will receive an ACT scholarship from ECCC. She will also receive a scholarship from Steel Dynamics Inc. Ashlea has been a member of various Grace Christian activities, such as Beta Club, Yearbook Committee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Grace Christian volleyball team.
Ashlea’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 24:14- “Know also that wisdom is like honey for you: if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
Chainey Zane Luke
Chainey is the daughter of Scott Luke and Molly Kelley. Her future plans are to attend Mississippi State University in the fall to study food science with hopes to become a dietician/fitness trainer. Chainey began attending Grace Christian in K4. During her years at Grace, Chainey has participated in Beta, played Junior High basketball, and was on the Grace Christian Volleyball team all throughout
school. Chainey is the recipient of a $1,000 Freshman Scholarship and $500 Old Main Scholarship from Mississippi State University.
Chainey enjoys swimming, hunting, makeup artistry and fitness training. One of her earliest memories at Grace Christian is Mrs. Price reading to the class from her “Bully mascot book.” Chainey immediately became a Mississippi State fan and dreamed of being in college with Bully when she grew up! Her favorite memories at Grace were volleyball road trips, dressing up for spirit week, winter formal, and the proms.
Chainey’s favorite bible verse is Romans 8:31. “If God is for us, who can be against us.”
Gannon Bryce Meek
Gannon is the son of Stacy Letteri and Ted Meek. He has lived in Louisville with his mother
and stepfather, Joe Letteri, for the past ten years. Gannon accepted Jesus as his savior while
attending summer camp at Lake Forest Ranch as a youth. Gannon will be attending East Central Community College in the fall. He will receive the presidential award ACT scholarship and the AT&T scholarship from ECCC. He plans to continue his education at a Mississippi University majoring in secondary education. Gannon has been a member of the Beta Club for four years. He has participated in fundraising to help the school, the club, and the community. His contributions include community service at the local library and tutoring students at his school. His honors include academic honors, the Timothy Award, and various awards in mathematics.
Gannon's favorite Bible verse is James 2:13 "For judgement is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement."
Lydia Anne Palmer
Lydia Anne Palmer is the daughter of Stacy and Jennifer Palmer of Louisville, MS. She has one sister, Whitney Palmer. She has lived in Louisville for her entire life and spent most of her school years at GCS. Throughout her life, Lydia has been an active member of Singleton Baptist Church, and in the past few years has become a part of the youth group of First Presbyterian Church. Lydia has enjoyed school and has worked hard to get here. She has learned about time management this year by playing volleyball, attending school, and working at the Raspberry Beret with Sara Chapman.
In her time at GCS, Lydia has earned many awards, including the Timothy Award, awards for writing, chemistry, history, and the Donna Cunningham Award for leadership, academics, and service, among many others. Lydia has also been involved in athletics at Grace Christian since the fifth grade when she started volleyball. Some athletic awards she has received are outstanding achievement, outstanding player, team captain, and a home run ball, as well as others throughout her time here. She is also the salutatorian of our class of 2019.
Lydia is also an honor graduate, a MS Scholar, and a recipient of the 12th Grade Geography Award. She is also receiving The Donna Cunningham Distinguished Christian High School Student Award in Leadership, Athletics, Christian Service and Academics.
This coming fall, Lydia plans to attend Mississippi State University majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in neuromechanics with a goal of entering physical therapy school after her undergraduate years.
A special verse to her is Psalm 16:7, "I will bless the Lord who advises me; even at night I am instructed in the depths of my mind."
Carol Milner “Millie” Taylor
Millie is the daughter of Keith Taylor and Rachel Milner. She is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2019. She attends Ackerman Baptist Church and has enjoyed the youth group there since the 7th grade.
She has been attending Grace since K4 and has taken advantage of many opportunities GCS has presented her with. Some of these opportunities include Beta Club, in which she served as Vice President her junior and senior years; the volleyball team, which she has been a part since the 7th grade and has received the Eagle Award; the Softball team, in which she played two seasons; Fellowship of Christian Athletes; GCS Performing Arts Department, and yearbook staff. Millie also had the pleasure of becoming a Mississippi Scholar and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
Throughout high school, she has received Academic Honors every year. Outside of school, Millie has participated in the Distinguished Young Women of Choctaw County program, the Youth Leadership Team at Ackerman Baptist Church, and has volunteered at numerous places throughout Winston and Choctaw Counties. While she has enjoyed many things during her years at Grace, a few of her favorite memories are the Tuscaloosa Tournament the volleyball team competed at every season, Mrs. Mittan’s dissections, spirit week, and of course, getting teased daily in homeroom for how her coffee was more milk and sugar than anything else.
Millie's senior awards include 12th Grade MS Studies and Academic Honors. She is also receiving the Donna Cunningham Distinguished Christian High School Student Award in Athletics and Academics.
Millie will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall in pursuit of a biological sciences degree with the intentions of going to Nursing School. She will be receiving the Salutatorian Scholarship, the Freshman Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Colvard Future Leader Scholarship, the Old Main Scholarship, the Distinguished Young Women of Choctaw County 2019 Second Alternate Scholarship, and the Distinguished Young Women of Choctaw County 2019 Overall Talent Scholarship.
Millie’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted among the earth.” She loves this verse because it always reminds her that our tender and loving God is in control of the bigger picture and that in the middle of a chaotic life on Earth, rest can always be found in Jesus.
Morgan LeeAnne Troyer
Morgan is the daughter of Jay and Twila Troyer. She plans on attending East Central Community College in the fall to study ophthalmic technology with hopes to work in a lab to create seeing eyeglasses. Morgan started attending Grace Christian in K-5 and was a homeschool student for second, fifth, sixth, eighth, ninth, and tenth grade. She then finished out her high school career at Grace Christian. During her last two years of high school, Morgan participated in the Beta Club, the yearbook committee, and played basketball. Morgan also rodeoed outside of school for 10 years.
Morgan has been awarded second, third, and fourth place buckles as well as fourth place spurs. She has been also given awards from the National Britches Rodeo Association in Oklahoma last year. She plants to continue her rodeo career with the Tri-State Rodeo Association next year. She also earned The Way Community Church scholarship of $500. Morgan enjoys reading, photography, her rodeo career and times with friends.
Three days after her graduation, Morgan will leave for her Haiti mission trip with the Way of the Cross Church. Her favorite memories of Grace are the countless games of four square and taking pictures for the yearbook.
Morgan’s favorite verse is Psalm 37:4 “delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Braeden Frances Nabers
Braeden Nabers is the daughter of Jim and Cindy Nabers and the late Charlotte Nabers. She is an active member of First Presbyterian Church and is very involved in the youth group there.
Braeden has attended Grace Christian since the K-4 and is grateful for the opportunities it allowed her to have. Such as, FCA where she was Co-President the last two years; BETA where she was President her junior year; volleyball where she was one of the team captains and received the offensive and eagle award her senior year; softball until it sadly shut down; theatre where she was one of the lead roles in this year’s musical; and lastly yearbook staff. Braeden is involved in other organizations outside of school. She is an active member of the Winston County’s Anchor Club and is the school’s representative. She was student of the month for Winston County’s Rotary Club and attended Mississippi’s RYLA convention. Braeden is graduating as a Mississippi Scholar and is an honor graduate. Her senior awards include Academic Honors, Excellence in Musical Theater and Trigonometry. She is also the recipient of The Donna Cunningham Distinguished Christian High School Student in Leadership, Fine Arts, Athletics and Christian Service.
For Braeden, GCS has been a second home who obviously comes with fond memories; one of her favorite memories here was her senior night when her volleyball team beat Choctaw County. She says the love and joy filled in the gym was what Grace is all about.
Braeden will be attending East Central Community College in the fall in the pursuit of a kinesiology degree. She will transfer to Ole Miss to become a physical therapist.
Braeden’s favorite bible verse is John 11:35, “Jesus wept” although it is short, it holds so much meaning to her. She says it shows just by those two words the wonderful Savior we have that when we are hurting, He is hurting. This verse has been a sweet reminder to her through her challenging senior year and is thankful for this school more than she could ever properly describe.
