Approval of an agricultural lease was among matters handled at a previous meeting of the Webster County School Board.
Jan. 13 meeting minutes show Superintendent James Mason recommended approval of a 16th Section agricultural lease for Jeffery Tabb. A motion to approve the lease was approved 3-0. Board member/president Rana Mitchell (District 2), who is Tabb’s sister, recused herself.
These items were approved as a part of the consent agenda:
• the minutes of the regular meeting held Dec. 9.
• the District Test Security Plan for 2024-25.
• the hiring of Alkeme Morton as full-time cafeteria staff effective Jan. 14, and changed Barbara Kwasniewski from full-time cafeteria staff to cafeteria substitute, effective Jan. 7.
• various donations.
• asset disposals.
The board also approved financial reports and the docket of claims.
In addition to Mitchell, board members Gabby Davis (District 5), Connor Hood (District 3) and Josh Palmer (District 4) were present. They adjourned until Feb. 10.
