Thelma Lois Edwards Vaughn, 95, died peacefully in her home with her daughter attending her. She was born in Webster County, MS, to Elijah Hubbard (Hub) Edwards and Minnie Lois Pogue Edwards. Her siblings were James "Brother" Edwards, Genie Edwards Hillebert, and William "Boy" Edwards.
All members of her Family of Origin predeceased her.
She and her husband, James, spent their entire lives on the same farm in Center, a rural community outside of Eupora. After his death in 1992, she continued to live alone and enjoyed gardening and her various assortment of cats and dogs.
After her retirement from Webster General Hospital, she devoted herself to enjoying her rural life. Three years ago, Marsha, her only child, returned to live with her as her caregiver.
She also leaves three grandchildren; Kristi Snellgrove, Brooke Snellgrove Muse (Mike) and Emily Snellgrove, four great grandchildren; Chelsea Lovett, Noah Mason, Eli Muse and Madi Muse and one great great grandchild; Ezra Felix.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Rev. Willy Weddle Officiated. Pallbearers were Tommy Edwards, Larry Edwards, James William Edwards, Terry Edwards, David Morelan and Jason Tindall. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Eupora, MS.
