Fame Church of God
Good morning everyone. We’ve had a wonderful week, a busy one, but it has been good. Looking forward to the fall season already for some much-needed cooler weather, and I don’t think I’ve seen grass grow this fast.
We have seen lots of local farmers selling watermelons, and they look so good! We stopped to get one in Eupora a few weeks back, but it was from Smith County. It was very sweet. Keeping my eye out for some local melons, now.
Hope you all have had a wonderful week, too. Our church service was great this week with an enjoyable music service, and sermon. It was good to see our people after such a busy work week.
Something has been on my heart to share. God loves a cheerful giver. He loves when his people see a need and reach out to help instead of holding back. God blesses the giver. He multiplies and sends upon the giver an increase.
When we give, we are his hands extended to the world and the mission or work he has given us to do. By tithing and giving, you open the windows of heaven where God will pour out blessings upon you that you won’t have room enough to contain.
God will abundantly bless the cheerful giver. When you give from the heart, not begrudgingly or out of necessity, God sees the heart and wants to give to you even more. He then knows he can trust you to do good with the gifts he provides. Seek to be a cheerful giver today.
Please keep sister Laneze, brother Lacey, sister Shirley, sister Stephanie and sister Karen in your prayers. We serve an awesome God. He specializes in miracles. We are trusting him.
God bless, you have a wonderful week.

Greetings to all who read this article.
I know the Word says in John 8:32, “And ye shall know that the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” I want you to know the truth today, that without being born again we are lost.
The old hymn goes, “What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”
But I want to tell you another song that’s on my heart this morning. When I begin to pray for the lost and those that have backslid, that means they have sin in their life and they are not walking with the Lord, because sin separates us from God. I know I use songs a lot in my messaged, but they are God-inspired and he speaks to us in songs if we will listen.
The song is “What Would You Give in Exchange for Your Soul?” First verse: “Brother afar from the Savior today, Risking your soul for the things that decay. O, if today God should call you away, What would you give in exchange for your soul?”
Second verse: “Mercy is calling you, won’t you give heed? Must the dear Savior still tenderly plead? Rick not your soul, it is precious indeed. What would you give in exchange for your soul?”
Last verse: “If, when you stand at the bar by and by, When you are weighed in the balance on high, you should be sentenced forever to die! What would you give in exchange for your soul?”
Chorus says, “What would give (in exchange), What would you give (in exchange), What would your give in exchange for your soul? O, if today, God should call it away, what you give in exchange for your soul?”
Friend, no amount of wealth or fame can buy back our souls. All the ones that chose drugs, alcohol and sex over our Lord will realize that really they didn’t need those things after all. The devil just lied to you and deceived you into thinking you couldn’t do without them.
Jesus will and can fill every void place in your life and give you peace like you have never known. Why don't you try Jesus; he’s faithful and true. He loved all of us so much that he died on the cross for us.
Matthew 16:26: “for what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
