I want to impart to you part of the message that I had for last Sunday morning but didn’t get to bring because the Holy Spirit took over and we had a Holy Ghost service.
So many of us needed a divine touch to our bodies, our minds and whatever we were burdened with. God loves us so much that he wants to meet ever need.
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
The Lord had put in my spirit this word: “It’s not so much that you love him, it’s how much you love him.”
The Lord reminded me of Peter in John 21:15-17, when Jesus asked Peter if he loved him. The first time he said, “Do you love me more than these?” He asked him three times did he love him. Well Jesus already knew but he wanted Peter to be sure that he loved Jesus. You see, Peter had already told Jesus that he would die for him but went on to deny knowing him after Jesus was arrested.
I’m reminded of the rich young ruler that wanted to know what must he do to inherit eternal life. He went on to tell Jesus that he had kept the commandments from his youth.
Mark 10: 21 says, “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me."
You see, it’s not about if we are rich or not. It’s all about if we want our riches before Jesus. The 22nd verse says, “And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.”
The question is, how much do we love Jesus?
