Oh my friends, the Word of God is so powerful and sustaining. The Word of God has an answer for everything we need.
I’ve heard so many people say that “they have faith” or “God knows my heart.” Well, all that is well and good but are you doing what God’s Word says? Are we being a hearer and not a doer of the Word?
We all need to have faith but in James 2:17, it says, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” And the 26th verse says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” The 19th verse says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
What are our works, what do they consist of?
First and foremost we will keep his commandments. Beginning with the first one that says, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy strength and with all thy mind!”
When you love the Lord like that, it’s easy to have faith and works to go with it.
