The word today is to all those that are so-called Christians, but yet don’t want you to talk about Jesus, even though he’s supposed to be their Lord and Savior.
They had rather listen to secular music, watch R-rated shows, listen to nasty jokes because that’s what’s in their hearts. Most think if they go to church on Sunday and some even pay their tithes, that everything is alright, but it’s not. God is a jealous God; he will have no one or anything before him.
He says in his word for us to pay our tithes, which is a tenth of our income. But we also owe a tenth of our time, which is two hours and 40 minutes. But somehow we are so busy that it’s hard to even say the blessing over our food. You know in I Kings 18:21 it says, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.”
In Revelation 3:15, 16, he was talking to the Laodicean church: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
Another word is in Matthew 25 talking about the 10 virgins. We know that five were wise and five were foolish. The foolish were lukewarm and didn’t have enough oil for their lamps and the Lord left them behind.
Friend, we don’t want to be left behind. If you are not where you need to be with the Lord, you need to make things right today. Tomorrow may be too late. The Lord is still waiting for you. Come to Jesus now.
