Friends, did you know this was in the Word of God? Lamentations 3:22-25 says, “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”
Have you ever wondered how our Lord could forgive us and keep loving us like we have never done anything wrong? My friend, he does. The Word says in I John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Then in I John 3:1, it says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”
Praise the Lord for his mercy endureth forever!
We had a wonderful day at church Sunday. The Lord blessed all of our speakers with the anointing from god. I wish the whole town of Eupora could have been there and heard truth being preached.
But many don’t want to hear truth anymore. The Word tells us in 2 Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”
We don’t want to be reminded of our sins and we are always wanting a pat on the back and someone telling us not to worry, that we are doing fine. When we sin, we sin against God and we have to repent and make things right. Just remember John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.”
He died for you and for me! That we wouldn’t have to perish because of sin.
