There’s an old hymn that says, “County your many blessings, name them one by one. County your many blessings, see what God has done.”
When you think about all your blessings, you really can’t name or remember all of them. The Word says in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am the chief.”
When you go back and consider the life Paul lived before, he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, he was a Pharisee of the highest sect.
In Acts 8:1, “And Saul was consenting unto the death of Stephen.” Verse 3 says, “As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into ever house, and hailing men and women committed them to prison.”
Paul’s name was Saul until God met him on the road to Damascus in Acts 9: He changed his name to Paul because no matter how bad a sinner he had been, God chose him to be an apostle for the kingdom of God.
Now you may think there’s no hope for you, but you are wrong. God loves you and always has.
Romans 8:38, 39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
“Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
That is powerful word. Nothing in your past has kept Jesus from loving you. He is saying, “Come unto me, I will give you rest.” That’s in Matthew 11:28. He’s waiting on you!
