In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, John is speaking to the churches telling them to listen to the spirit of God. He said, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the church.”
We have that same option today to hear what God is saying to us. But the word tells us in 2 Timothy 4:3 and 4 that, “For the time will come when the will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Fables means a falsehood, something that’s not right. 2 Timothy 3: 5,7 says, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
And we know that the farther we get away from God the greater is the risk of losing our soul. Romans 1:28 says, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do these things which are not convenient.”
It also says in 2 Thessalonians 2:11, 12, “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
“That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
Friend, we still have time to make things right with God, but time is running out! Today in the Day of Salvation. Jesus loves you.
