ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Part 1: North Lagoon Wastewater Improvements and/or Part 2: Sewer Line Inspection will be received by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen at the Town Hall located at 328 West Main Street, P.O. Box 266, Noxapater, MS 39346, until November 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing Part 1: North Lagoon Wastewater Improvements and/or Part 2: Sewer Line Inspection .Bids will be received for two prime Contracts. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis for Part 1 and unit price basis for Part 2, with additive and/or deductive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Calvert-Spradling Engineers, Inc.; 7085 Highway 45 North Alternate, P.O. Drawer 1078; West Point, MS 39773. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays during regular business hours, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $150.00_ for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to Calvert-Spradling Engineers, Inc. This project is financed by a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to the rules and regulations thereof.
The successful bidder must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents.
Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
