OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR HUNTING AND FISHING RIGHTS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of the Webster County School District that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 10:00 A.M. on the 9th day of September, 2019, in the office of the Superintendent of Education of the Webster County School District, located at 95 Clark Avenue, Eupora, MS 39744, for a lease of hunting and fishing rights on the following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Lands situated in Webster County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 20N, Range 9E approximately 635 acres
Bids submitted will be opened at 10:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as conveniently possible, on the 9th day of September, 2019. The lease shall be for a term of three (3) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours. A MINIMUM BID OF $4.00 PER ACRE HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. LESSEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PAYMENT OF ALL TAXES ON LEASED LAND.
Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel. Only the annual rental shall be subject to bid. A certified check for the amount of the annual rental should be included with the bid when submitted. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of the Webster County School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope “BID FOR HUNTING AND FISHING LEASE on approximately ____ acres in Section ____, Township ____, Range ____.” Individuals who have current hunting and fishing leases on the sections listed above will have the option to match any new higher bid in order to retain the lease for another 3 years. The Board of Education of Webster County School District will meet at Eupora, Mississippi on the 9th day of September, 2019, at 6:00 P.M. and sealed bids received pursuant to this public notice will be subject to approval. The Board of Education of the Webster County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted, but if any bids are accepted, it will be in the manner prescribed by law.
The aforesaid land is being offered for lease under the provisions of Section 29-3-41 of the Mississippi Code Annotated (1972) as amended. Ordered by the Board of Education of the Webster County School District this the 30th day of July, 2019.

WHEREAS, on July 11, 2017, Beatrice A. Sullivan executed a certain Deed of Trust to Jan R. Butler as Trustee for Beatrice A. Sullivan, which is recorded in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Winston County, Mississippi, in Book 2017 at page 423; and,
WHEREAS, Beatrice A. Sullivan appointed Jeffrey J. Hosford in the place and stead of Jan R. Butler or any subsequently appointed substituted trustee, said Substitution of Trustee being recorded in the office of the Chancery Clerk of said County in Book 2019 at Page 49; and

Sealed bids will be received by Webster County School Board, hereafter referred to as Owner, at the Superintendent’s Office located at 95 Clark Avenue, Eupora, Mississippi up to 10:00 a.m. Local Time, September 20, 2019, for delivery, all labor, equipment, and materials for a New Wood Gymnasium Floor at East Webster High School located at 195 Old Cumberland Road, Maben, MS 39750.
Contract time shall be thirty-five (35) consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed.
Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. Bids shall show the Contractor’s Certificate of Responsibility Number on the Bid Envelope.
