The CHOCTAW COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS will receive competitive, sealed bids in the Office of Chancery Clerk of Choctaw County, Mississippi at the Choctaw County Courthouse, 22 E Quinn Street, in Ackerman, Mississippi until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13th, 2019 for the Construction of Project #19-1343 - Base & Pave on Various Routes in Choctaw County: Part A- Construction of Soil-Cement Base Stabilization; Part B- Construction of DBST Surfacing. (Two Contracts).
Detailed plans and specifications for the above described work are on file in the Chancery Clerk’s Office at the Choctaw County Courthouse, 22 E Quinn Street in Ackerman, Mississippi. Plans and Proposals may be secured by contacting Marty Crowder, P.E., County Engineer, 1150 West Main Street, Ackerman, Mississippi 39735, 662-285-2062. The cost is seventy-five dollars ($75) for printed plans and proposal package, non-refundable.
Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Choctaw County must accompany each proposal. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of execution.
It shall be incumbent upon each bidder to understand the specifications as listed herein and to obtain clarification when necessary.

WHEREAS, on the 18th day of August, 1998, Shelly Woods, executed and delivered a certain Deed of Trust unto Reggie Howard, Trustee for TMS Mortgage Inc., dba The Money Store, Beneficiary, to secure an indebtedness therein described, which Deed of Trust is recorded in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Choctaw County, Mississippi in Mortgage Book 136 at Page 23; and
WHEREAS, by various assignments on record said Deed of Trust was ultimately assigned to U.S. Bank Trust National Association, as Trustee of the Tiki Series III Trust by instrument recorded in the office of the aforesaid Chancery Clerk in Land Mortgage Book 219 at Page 715; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of April, 2017 the Holder of said Deed of Trust substituted and appointed Emily Kaye Courteau as Substitute Trustee by instrument recorded in the office of the aforesaid Chancery Clerk in Land Deed Book 216 at Page 435; and
