A drive-by shooting Tuesday night, June 17 in Louisville left one man dead and several others injured, according to local authorities.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the 200 block of West College Street. Officers with the Louisville Police Department responded quickly, administering first aid to the victims until Emergency Medical Services arrived.
All injured individuals were transported to Winston Medical Center for treatment. One male victim was later airlifted to a hospital in Jackson, where he died from gunshot wounds, according to Winston County Coroner Larry Massey.
Police have made three arrests in connection with the shooting. The names of the suspects and victims have not been released.
The Louisville Police Department is continuing the investigation with assistance from the Winston County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Philadelphia Police Department.
