It was another rough week for the French Camp basketball teams.
Both teams lost a pair of district contests last week.
On Tuesday, the French Camp girls lost 48-22 to Velma Jackson while the boys lost 70-22 to the Falcons.
On Friday, Noxapater swept both games as the Lady Panthers lost 52-23 while the Panthers lost 62-56 in a tight contest.
French Camp was scheduled to return to play on Tuesday at they play at Ethel and then on Friday at Nanih Waiya.
Noxapater boys 62, French Camp 56
The Tigers built an early lead and held on to take a six-point win over the Panthers in district play.
Noxapater jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the first period and then outscored French Camp 17-10 in the second to lead 34-18 at the half. French Camp rallied in the second half, outscoring Noxapater 20-13 in the third and 18-15 in the fourth for the final margin.
Aiden Watkins led French Camp with 18 points while Eli Withers had 15 points. Logan Wright also chipped in 12 points for the Panthers.
Noxapater girls 52, French Camp 23
The Lady Tigers dominated from the beginning and took a 29-point win over the Lady Panthers on Friday.
Noxapater led 12-5 at the end of the first period and then outscored French Camp 18-6 in the second to lead 30-11 at the half. Noxapater then outscored French Camp 22-6 in the third and led 52-17 going to the fourth. French Camp took the fourth period 6-0 for the final margin.
Emma Jayne Hood led French Camp with 14 points.
