Hey everyone.
I was reading in 2 Timothy 3:1 where it says we are living in perilous times. It says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
Perilous means hard to bear, troublesome, dangerous, harsh, fierce and savage. Does that sound like what we see today? Yes it does. It goes on in the next verses, 2-5, telling about some of the perilous things that are happening:
“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
“Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (no self-control), fierce, despisers of those that are good,
“ Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
It’s like reading the newspaper, isn’t it?
I Peter 4:7,8 says, “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
“ And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”
Praise God for his amazing grace and precious love.
Friend, if you are not ready to meet the Lord, you can be. Repent and ask Jesus to save you. He wants to live in your heart. He loves you!
Simple as that.
