Paulette Whitt Box, aged 70, passed away on October 21, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1955, to John Paul and Rudell Whitt.
Paulette was married to Larry Box and worked for many years providing childcare in her home. Paulette enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, quilting, and reading. She loved sunflowers and horses, often dreaming of visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina to see the wild horses that roam there. Paulette was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Paulette is survived by her son, Shane Box (Pam) of Illinois; two sisters, June Johnson (Gayden) of Caledonia; Mary Lee Johnson (Phillip) of Eupora; two nephews, Matt Johnson and Josh Johnson (Amanda); one niece, Megan Johnson Garnett (Todd); a great-niece, Esther Johnson; a great-nephew, Jack Garnett; and two special friends, Kathy Hunter and Mike Hillhouse.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul and Rudell Whitt, and her husband, Larry Box.
Funeral visitation was Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M at Wise Reed Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 2:00 P.M., along with the graveside service afterwards in the Wise Reed Chapel. Pallbearers are Mike Hillhouse, Gayden Johnson, Josh Johnson, Matt Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Perry Smith, and Barry Whitt. Wise Reed Funeral Home oversaw all arrangements.
