Laura Slawson, 92, of Union, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2025.
Services were held Sunday, Sept. 28, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel in Union.
Mrs. Slawson was a longtime member of County Line Baptist Church and worked at Milling Funeral Home for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.D. Slawson; her parents, Luther and Ethel Sturch; and sisters Francis Gousse and Inez Dempsey.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Fulton and husband Bob; son, Frankie Slawson and wife Brenda; grandsons Robert Fulton and wife Brandy, Justin Slawson and wife Amy, and Gene Downey and wife Mickie; great-grandchildren Jaylee Fulton, Brayden Slawson, Graham Slawson, Angela Gartman and Danleigh Weaver.
Pallbearers were Justin Slawson, Carrol Bozeman, Randel Bozeman Sr., Randel Bozeman Jr. and Brayden Slawson. Honorary pallbearers were current and former Milling Funeral Home staff.
The family requests memorials be made to Gideon International, Samaritan's Purse or a charity of choice.
