Dorothy Gail Pollard Shivers, age 77, of Starkville, Mississippi passed away at Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Dot was born on April 11, 1948, in Eupora, Mississippi to Raymond Pollard and Iris Blackwell Pollard. She was retired from Weavexx and a member of Adaton Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi.
Dot is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Richard) Huffman; two brothers, Roy Pollard and Benny Pollard; one granddaughter, Taylor Huffman, all of Starkville, Mississippi and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Shivers; both parents, Raymond Pollard and Iris Blackwell Pollard; one sister, Peggy Cordell and one granddaughter, Treasure Huffman. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dot were held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Interment followed at Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery in Starkville, Mississippi.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00AM until time for services at 11:00AM at Oliver Funeral Home. Rev.
