Rutha Bell Eiland
Rutha Bell Eiland passed away on August 12, 2020. She was born August 14, 1929 to the late Dee Calvin Eiland and Ruby Coleman Eiland in Louisville, Mississippi.
She is survived by her children Larry S. Eiland Taylor, of Houston, TX. Nancy Jackson Johnson, Jr. of Madison, MS, one granddaughter, three grandsons and a great-grandson; sisters: Edna Avery of Chicago, IL, and Idella Sanders of Monroe, LA, and including a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Pallbearers were relatives and family.
Ida Dell Richardson
Ida Dell Richardson, 70, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glynn Barker officiating. Interment followed the service in Butler Cemetery in the Butler Community of Noxubee County. Visitation was the day of the service from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family urges everyone to please observe all safety precautions concerning COVID-19.
Dell was born October 25, 1950, to Weldon and Estelle Clark Richardson in Louisville, Mississippi. She was a member of First Apostolic Church of Louisville.
Dell is survived by two brothers Curtis Richardson and Doug Richardson all of Louisville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Corey Richardson, Danny Richardson, Tony Richardson, Ben Clark, and Rylee Pearson. Memorials in honor of Dell may be given to Nowell-Massey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Mary Dean Coleman
Mary Dean Coleman passed away on December 26, 2020. She was born on September 23, 1929.
Mrs. Coleman worked as a dietician for the Winston County Hospital for many years. She attended Harper Chapel Church and served on the Mother Board and assisted on the kitchen committee. She was the mother of nine children: Ellouise Howard, Arlee Ewards, Obie Lee Hathorn, Lois Ball, Dr. Martha Moore, Jimmie Coleman, Bonnie Jackson, Jeweline White and Malcolm Coleman; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and one uncle.
Services were officiated by Rev. John Ball, and Rev. Cedric Wooten

Frances Ann Alston passed away at Choctaw County Hospital in Ackerman, MS, on December 20, 2020. She was born in Louisville, Ms in 1964.
Funeral services were December 26 at Greater Hope Pentecostal Church Cemetery with Elder Harvey Scott officiating.
She is survived by her husband Edward Alston, daughters, Eldner Graham, Kimberly Alston, Georgena Merritt, Moteka Beechum, Annie Lee, Ebony Alson, and Laura Alston; sons, Graham, Desmond Graham, Edward Barksdale, and Russel Alston; sisters, Glenda Holman, Patricia Carter, Charlotte Carter, and Rita McReynolds; brothers, Darrell Carter, Gary Carter, Christopher Carter, Kevin Carter, and Jerome Carter and other relatives including 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Bill McDonald, Jr. passed away on December 24, 2020 at his home. McDonald was born in Noxapater, MS in 1941.
He is survived by his wife Mary H. McDonald, daughters, Sharon Griggs, Elizabeth Coburn and Teresa Overstreet all of Philadelphia, Ms; sons, Curtis McDonald, Noxapater, Ms; sisters, Rosa Henley of Louisville, Ms, and Geneva Goss of Chicago, IL; brother, James McDonald of New Albany, Ms and other relatives including 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Howard Roland Barnett, 81, of Ocean Springs were Dec. 23, 2020, at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs conducted by the Rev. Rick Brooks.
He was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Webster County to the late Drew and Leade Barnett, and grew up in the area around Eupora. Mr. Barnett was a veteran, a Mason and member of St. Paul United Methodist Church Downtown in Ocean Springs. He died Dec. 19, 2020, in Ocean Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Hermanell Hearn Barnett; a daughter, Candice Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

Garvis Lamar Blaine

He was born April 11, 1935, in Choctaw County to the late Benny Garvis and Opal Turner Blaine. Mr. Blaine was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He died Dec. 31, 2020, at Diversicare of Eupora.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Blaine of Ackerman; a daughter, Terry Barron of Pontotoc; three sons, Mark Blaine of Australia, Kirk Blaine of Philadelphia and Scott Blaine of Caledonia; a sister, Pat Garlock of Kentucky; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lewis Glenn Brotherton, 93, of Eupora died Dec. 11, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
He was born in Kentucky to the late J.H. and Mamie Wilson Brotherton. Mr. Brotherton was a Purple Heart recipient, and served in World War II, Vietnam, Korea and occupied China as a gunnery sergeant.
Survivors include a daughter, Deloris Zellmer; a son, Bruce Brotherton; and a sister, Harriett.

Scarlett Jo Mitchell Devine

Graveside services for Scarlett Jo Mitchell Devine were Dec. 12, 2020, at Midway Cemetery outside Vaiden led by the Revs. Dean Stewart and David Westmoreland.
She was born July 6, 1958, in Greenwood to the late Joe Mitchell and the late Beverly Norfleet Williams Beam. Mrs. Devine graduated from Eupora High School in 1976 and pursued a career in nursing after graduating from the Mississippi University for Women in 1987. She was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church. Mrs. Devine died Dec. 9, 2020.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Devine of Vaiden; two children Alex Devine of Miami and Adrianne Devine of Brandon; and her stepfather J. D. Beam of Stewart.
Pallbearers were Bill Carson, Dennis Dean, Brad Fouche, Larry Graves, John Hightower and Jimmy Webb.

She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in Hymera, Ind., to the late Earl Scott and Bernice Johnson Clark. Mrs. McKee was a wife and homemaker. She died Jan. 2, 2021, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Makamson of Sturgis, Elizabeth Ann Parker of Berlin, Md., and Mary Kathryn McVeigh of Wiggins; two sons, Gerald E. McKee of Panama City, Fla., and David Lee McKee of Emory, Texas; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
