Nellie Jewell Smith Haggard, 90, of Clanton, Alabama passed away December 22, 2021, in Clanton, Alabama.
She was born October 28, 1931, in Louisville, Mississippi, daughter of the late Obie Warren Smith and the late Willie Iva Smith.
She was a Registered Nurse for 50 years retiring at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama. She loved all of her family and her legacy will live on forever.
Surviving are her Sons, William Ernest (Jenelle) Haggard, Robert Donald (Tammy) Haggard and Patrick Henry (Connie) Haggard; Grandchildren, William (Susanna) Haggard, Jr., Daniel (Dea) Haggard, Jessica (Joe) Creamer, Rebekah (Josh) Jones, Burey (Misty) Haggard and Brandi (Jake) Cleckler; Eighteen Great-Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchild on the way, Sister; Pauline Ezelle.
She was preceded in death by her father, Obie Warren Smith, Mother, Willie Iva Smith, Husband, Robert Ernest Haggard, Five Brothers and Sisters.
Friends were received Monday, December 27, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home and Rev. Joe Creamer officiated.
Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Louisville, Mississippi.
