Mr. James Ellis "Jimmy" Mitchell, 76, retired welder/fitter with Babcock and Wilcox, died January 13, 2021 at North MS Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Funeral services were held 2:00PM Sunday January 17, 2021 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Walthall Memorial Cemetery in Walthall, MS. Rev. Hugh Bland officiated. Pallbearers were; James Ken Mitchell, Joe Allen Mitchell, John David Mitchell, Ricky Hubbard, Shane Brooks and Dusty Womack.
He was a member of Walthall Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents; Clytee and Dora Dell Hays Mitchell. Mr. Jimmy is survived by his wife; Thelma Alice Hall Mitchell, Eupora, MS, a daughter; Stephanie Mitchell ( Ricky) Hubbard, Mantee, MS, three sons; James Ken (Paula) Mitchell, Mantee, MS, Joe Allen Mitchell, Pittsboro, MS, and John David Mitchell, Walthall, MS, sister; Mary Tindall, Spring Hill, MS, two brothers; Dale (Sharon) Hays, Calhoun City, MS, and Joe (Angela) Hays, Walthall, MS, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
