Gregory Carl May, age 50, passed away on December 28, 2020 at his mother’s home in Stewart, Mississippi surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 11, 1970 to Benny C. and Ann Pyron May.
Greg was a lifelong resident of Stewart, Mississippi. Being a lover of music, he used that talent as the music leader at Pine Forest Baptist Church for many years. Greg graduated from Eupora High School in 1988 and then attended Wood Junior College graduating with an associate degree. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies and collecting Fire King Glassware. Greg was a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Benny C. and Ann Pyron May of Stewart, Mississippi; one brother, Randy (Beth) May of Stewart, Mississippi; and three nieces, Laura Beth May, Kristen May, and Ashley May all of Stewart, Mississippi.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Stewart, Mississippi. A visitation was held prior to the service in the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Brother Wade Stevens and Brother Ken Parvin officiated the service. Pallbearers were David Floyd, Bobby Hurst, Bo Farmer, Jason Carson, Josh Buford, Michael Kolb, and Russell Mord. Wise Reed Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
