Sandra D. “Ma Bell” Bell passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS. Mrs. Bell was born December 18, 1946, in Drew, Mississippi, to Devere and Waudean(Pigg) Lowe. She was 75 years old. Mrs. Bell was a retired Dillard’s Associate. She was affiliated with the Ackerman Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. Danny Irvin officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial followed on Wednesday, April 27th, at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Bell is survived by 1 daughter, Katherin Dean Bell of Starkville, MS; 2 sons, Mervin Gene(Jackee) Bell, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, and William Patterson Bell of Starkville, MS; 7 grandchildren, Brigman Bell, Brooke Bell, Presley Bounds, Joey Houser, Brittnie Chism, Patterson Bell, and Parker Bell; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way, Sayla Houser, Clay Chism, Liam Bell, Lucca Houser, Brenlee Kate Bell, Isaiah, Houser, Sophia Grace Bell, Lochlan Bell, and little Olivia Bell who will be arriving in August.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin Gene Bell, Sr; her parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
