Services for James Thomas “J.T.” Perry, 97, were March 2, 2022, at Chester Baptist Church in Ackerman. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Chester.
He was born Feb. 15, 1925, to the late John and Sallie Hodges Perry. Mr. Perry worked for many years in the construction business, was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Chester Baptist Church. He died Feb. 27, 2022, at his home in Ackerman.
Survivors include three daughters, Kay Perry Smith and Theresa Perry Skinner of Ackerman, and Debbie Perry Upchurch of Madison; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Burkes, Jimmy Burkes, Sammy Dean, Mancel Fulce, Mike Pearson and Ralph Skinner.

Memorial services for Julia Elaine Black Weeks, 88, were March 5, 2022, at Beulah Cemetery in Weir.
She was born Sept. 22, 1933, to the late Julian Harvey and Nannie Lois Black. Mrs. Weeks died Feb. 27, 2022.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Kimbrough, Becky King and Victoria Oller; a son, Tony Weeks; a sister, Thelma Sue Black Morgan; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

Jerry Maurice Gray
Funeral Services for Jerry Maurice Gray, 42, were held at 1 p.m., March 1 at the Louisville Memorial Cemetery. Elder R.M. Murry officiated.
Mr. Gray died February 14 in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Arnitra Gray; his father, Jerry L. Gray; his mother, Hattie Wells; 3 daughters, Jydesiny Gray, Jacelyn Gray, and Jakalyn Gray; one brother, Kendrick Gray; one sister, Shemaka Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Musa Levon Matthews
Funeral services for Musa Levon Matthews, 43, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 26 at Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Willie J. Matthews officiated.
He was a member of New Zion MB Church. Mr. Matthews died February 18.
Survivors include his father, Willie David Matthews; his mother, Linda Wellmaker, his stepfather, Larry Wellmaker; his wife, Marketta Matthews; his daughters, Desiree Thompson and De’Asia Matthews; a special daughter, Elena Matthews; grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Michael Charles Harrington
Funeral services for Michael Charles Harrington, 54, were held at 1 p.m., March 2 at Union Chapel cemetery. Rev. Willie J. Matthews officiated.
Mr. Harrington died February 23 at his home.
Survivors include his father, Charles Marshall; one son, LaKendrick Triplett; 3 sisters, Flesha Harrington, Mary Smith, and Gwendolyn King; 3 brothers, William Marshall, Matthew Pease, and Charles Pease; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Demetrice Wraggs
Funeral services for Demetrice Wraggs, 60, were held at 11 a.m., March 4 at Beck Funeral Home. Deacon Charles Holmes and Rev. Kendrick Carter officiated. Burial followed in the Antioch cemetery.
Mr. Wraggs died February 23 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Lohnie Wraggs; 2 sons, LaKen Wraggs and Tyras Wraggs; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
