Services for Samuel Guy McKee, 86, of Starkville were March 26, 2022, at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville with the Rev. Clifton Curtis officiating. Burial was in Sapa Baptist Church Cemetery in Eupora.
He was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Mathiston to the late Thomas E. and Ruby Cannon McKee. After retiring from Herschede Hall Clock Co., he went to work for Ford Motor Co. in Mathiston and drove a school bus for seven years after his retirement. Mr. McKee was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville. He died March 23, 2022, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Survivors include his wife, Floy Faye McNally McKee of Starkville; two sons, Max McKee of Saltillo and Steve McKee of Starkville; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
Pallbearers were Andy Griffis, Michael Henderson, Jeff Lyles, John McMurray, Michael Polk, Allan Smith and Ron Waltmon.
Linden Jack Ball
Funeral services for Linden Jack Ball, 70, were held at 1 p.m., March 24 at Beck Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Angelo Riley officiated. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Linden died March 13 in Leake County, MS>
Survivors include his wife, Polly Ball; 3 daughters, Margertree Holmes, Syreeta Ball, and Alania Garces; one son, Linden Jai Ball; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Alinda Jean Yates
Funeral services for Alinda Jean Yates, 44, were held at 3 p.m., March 27 at Greater Hope Pentecostal Church in Weir. Elder Harvey Scott officiated. Burial followed in the Reform Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Yates died March 21 at the Baptist Medical Center in Columbus.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Yates; 2 daughters, Aaliyah Yates and Miracle Yates; one son, Quez Stephenson; 7 sisters, Margaret Miller, Dorothy Steele Carter, Geneva Lawrence, Jeanette Cobb, Catherine Stephenson, Trinas Robinson, and Tammy Robinson; 3 brothers, Henry Stephenson, Willie Stephenson, and Tracy Robinson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. M.C. Taylor
Funeral services for Mr. M.C. Taylor, 82, were held at 11 a.m., March 26 at Mt. Moriah MB Church. Dr. Michael Taylor, Jr. and Dr. Benjamin Pittman officiated. Burial followed in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died March 22 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Taylor; one daughter, Carline Sherrod Massey; one son, Michael C. Taylor, Jr.; one sister, Minnie Williams; two brothers, James Graham and Robert Graham; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one god son, Jeremiah Sangster; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Delma Ruth Slawson
Graveside services for Delma Ruth Slawson were held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 1 p.m. from Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Lundy and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Visitation was Friday, March 25, 2022 from 10 until 12 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slawson, 93, of Louisville, MS died Thursday, March 24, 2022.
She was a native and longtime resident of Nanih Waiya, a community of Winston County. Formerly worked at Spartus Plant in Louisville, MS. Mrs. Slawson was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Margaret Marie McFarland of Louisville, KY; son, Joel Slawson of Nanih Waiya; two grandchildren and their families.
