Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Mae McCann were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend James Brown officiating. Interment followed in Tioga Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. McCann, 89, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Tioga Community Care Center, Tioga, LA.
She was a member of Heart of Worship Church in Pineville. Clara was the owner/operator of Sheer Magic Beauty Salon in Tioga for over thirty years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and watching baseball on TV. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-five years, J. C. McCann; and her parents, James and Onnie Threet.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Marvis Brown, and his wife, Rhonda, of Pineville, and James Brown, and his wife, Mary, of Bean Blossom, Indiana; one brother, Alvin G. Threet, and his wife, Dorothy, of Tallapoosa, Georgia; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation was held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation resumed in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
