Beverly Blount Whitehead, age 67, passed away on March 3, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, with her loving family by her side. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Bro. Charles Rook and Dr. Owen Gordon officiating. Visitation was the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment immediately followed the service in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.
Beverly was born October 20, 1954, to Arden and Elaine Newman Blount in New York. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Beverly enjoyed reading devotional books such as Guideposts and completing word search puzzles. She also loved music and she dearly loved her family and her Lord.
Beverly is survived by her sister Trudy King and her brother Ken Blount both of Philadelphia, Mississippi, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Kenny Lamar Whitehead, her son Lucius Whitehead, and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers were Regan Kieff, Jason Baysinger, Steve Jones, Chet Wilkes, Buddy Monk, and Kevin Baysinger. Memorials in honor of Beverly may be given to Winston-Choctaw Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 556, Louisville, MS 39339.
