Funeral services for Maxie Cornelia Sherrod, 82, were held on December 12 at 11 AM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville. Rev. Billy J. Clay officiated. The burial was held at Bethel Cemetery.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Sherrod was born in 1942. She died on December 3, 2024 in Bellwood, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Sherrod; daughter, Georgia Ann Smith Moore; sons, Robert Darin Sherrod and Kevin Sherrod; sister, Ethel McMiller; and a host of other family and friends.

Eldora Eichelberger Jones

Funeral services for Eldora Eichelberger Jones, 93, were held on December 14 at 2 PM at Center Ridge Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville. Rev. William Haynes officiated. A burial was held at Center Ridge Cemetery.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Eldora was born in 1931. She died on December 6, 2024 at Winston Medical Center.
Survivors include daughters, Laura Jean Huley and Debra Ann Gray; brothers, Willie Thurman Eichelberger, Donel Eichelberger, Otis Eichelberger and James Eichelberger; sisters, Ethel Young, Doris Taylor, Ollie Houston, and Edna Hargett; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Mary Kathleen Murphy Hunt

Funeral services for Mary Kathleen Hunt, 88, was held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, on Saturday, December 14, at 10 a.m. Visitation was held at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home in Midland, Texas, on Wednesday, December 11. Interment followed the service at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.
Mrs. Hunt or as everyone lovingly called her, “Kathleen,” passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in 1936.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Sherry Jean Davis of Ackerman; two sons, Warren Dale Hunt and Daniel Lee Hunt both of Hobbs, NM; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
