Private graveside services for Mary Lou Cooper, 93, will be held at Enon Cemetery in
Ackerman at a later date.
She was born May 19, 1931, in Ackerman to the late Clyde Fields and Maggie Lucille
Smith McGee. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Ackerman Congregational Methodist
Church. She died Nov. 27, 2024, at her residence in Ackerman.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Gene Cooper of Ackerman; one son, Tom
Cooper of Ackerman; two daughters, Kathy King of Ackerman and Carolyn Perkins
of Pontotoc; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Farrah W. Jones Nov. 27, 2024
Services for Farrah W. Jones, 81, were held Dec. 3, 2024, at Coleman Funeral Home
in Ackerman.
She was born Jan. 8, 1943, to the late Kathryn and Floyd Wood. Mrs. Jones died Nov.
27, 2024.
Survivors include three children, Shane Sunn, Maury Jones and Christia Graham; 10
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the National Diabetic Association, St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital or New Life Worship Center.
David Patton Nov. 21, 2024
Services for David K. Patton, 62, were Nov. 30, 2024, at Gospel Temple COGIC
Transformation Center in Ackerman.
He was born May 1, 1962. Mr. Patton was educated in the Choctaw County School
District, Class of 1981. He died Nov. 21, 2024, at his residence in Ackerman.
Survivors include two sons, Damon Eichelberger of Meridian and Daniel Triplett of
Ackerman; four sisters, Denise Frazier, Diane Patton, Patricia Williams and Carylon
Ward; and one brother, Calvin Barnes.
Taylor’s Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.
