Services for Glen George ìJunkyî Edmonds, 69, of Mathiston were Sept. 22, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Mathiston with the Rev. Brad Latham officiating. Burial was in Craig Springs Cemetery. He was born June 17, 1955, in Oktibbeha County to the late Archie Lee and Mary Clyde Hamill Edmonds, and was a graduate of Sturgis High School. Mr. Edmonds, a retired officer from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, was a member of Masonic Lodge #365 in Sturgis and of Mathiston Baptist Church. He died Sept. 18, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Survivors include his wife, Thelia Ford Edmonds of Mathiston; three daughters, Jorga Wilson of Brandon, Amber Williamson of Louisville and Jennifer Garner of Columbus; a stepson, Jeremy Sutton of Citrus Springs, Florida; a stepdaughter, Amber Grey of Belden; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Stan Bryant, Chuck Dawkins, Stacy Garner, Will Hutchinson, Rudy Johnson, Charlie Williamson, Trey Williamson, Chris Wilson. Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Troopers Association, Craig Springs Cemetery Fund or Masonic Lodge #365 in Sturgis. Porter Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.
