Let's Keep Summer Baseball
for Choctaw County's Kids
As summer approaches, many parents in Choctaw
County are wondering where their little ones will
play baseball this year. Sadly, as of now, there's nowhere
for them to play. Our children, full of
energy, excitement, and love for the game, have
no home field to gather on, learn teamwork, or
create those unforgettable summer memories.
On Highway 12, an unfinished baseball field sits,
awaiting completion. With teamwork, dedication,
and community spirit, that field could soon echo
with the sounds of cheering parents, laughter, and
the crack of the bat.
I'm reaching out to all parents, grandparents, and
community members who care about our youth.
Let's come together to make this happen.
Whether it's lending a hand to finish the field, helping
organize teams, coaching, or simply spreading
the word, every bit of effort matters.
Let's give our children the summer they deserve,
one filled with friendships, learning, and pride in
their hometown. Together, we can build something
lasting for Choctaw County and get their
stage for a successful Little League season that's
the beginning of something great.
If you're interested in getting involved, please
reach out to the mayor of Ackerman and the
Board of Alderman. Our kids are counting on us,
and with all of us pitching in, this season could be
one to remember.
